Smoothies for Hair, Skin and Nails

Smoothies for hair, skin and nails are great to start your day. They are full of vitamins and minerals and also full of antioxidants. To make a good smoothie it is important to have a good blender. Apart from that, all you need are the ingredients. I believe blending the fruits and veggies are better as it breaks down the fibre the way that the body can digest more easily. With blending, you also can add extra nuts and oils to boost your vitamins and minerals.

It’s ok to juice the fruits and veggies but when juicing it removes the fibre in veggies and fruits. When it comes to fruits I use a combination of fresh and frozen. (With berries I always use the frozen berries which is more economical, but still with the same great taste.) You can have these smoothies any time of the day – breakfast, lunch or dinner, but I usually have mine for breakfast. These smoothies are easy and quick to make – it basically takes only a few minutes. Even though you can make it on the previous night and keep the smoothie in the fridge I prefer to make it just before I drink mine, but it’s ok if you are rush in the morning – you can still make it the night before and keep it in the fridge.

Smoothies for all seasons

Smoothies can be consumed at any time of the year, but during winter, when the weather is far colder, make sure to use only fresh ingredients and avoid using frozen fruits, although in the warmer seasons, using a mix is better to make the smoothie cooler and more refreshing. I like the smoothies a little thicker but this is totally personal preference. To get juice-like consistency, you can add a little water or juice and blend for a couple of minutes.

The below smoothies are specifically good for hair, nails and skin. You can make your own combination and try different ones to enjoy. Do not hesitate to try out new smoothies for your taste.
